...That's how we roll.

So are film permit did'nt come through and we where sent yet more forms to be even more specific, after sending them back off the day we where meant to be filming and not getting a reply on wednesday we thought we'd just go for it.
So we did'nt get our loaction at bluewater but we busted it up to bexleyheath shopping mall to get some of our footage their. We still need some more shots as it turns out so the filming and editing is kind of going at the same pace, but it's working out fine at th moment.
why? Because that's how we roll!

Bluewater Filming Permit

(Click to enlarge) After ringing up Bluewaters desk number we were told that we must fill in the necessary photo and film form in which we must state time of film, equipment abnd stuff. Once signed and given proper clearence we will be free to film. So we are now waiting on a reply, hopefully soon.

Shooting Schedule

We have'nt specified each scene within our Schedule instead put our overall estimated time of shooting. We've already filmed the Canada Sqaure footage but thought appropriate to still document it in our schedule.

"That time already 'ey chaps!"

FIRST PART OF FILMING:

So, on the weekend me and my amigo's popped down to Londons Canada Sqaure, the home of Canary Wharf to get a head start on pulling some shots out the bag to see what kind of cinematography would work and also to generally experiment and with Location. We basically bombed around the joint getting loads of footage of loacation, we managed to get some real nice shots some of which will most likely be in the edited cut. Basically theres alot there we can work with, we're hopeing (now with a succesfull storng narrative incidently a nice logline) to continue filming on Friday 16th Jan to film our story shots now that location footage is sorted.

The ECC'S got our Back:

No need to worry we were'nt put in the slammer for whapping out a camera illegally as on arrival at Canada Sqaures shopping facility we spoke to a member of their security "the ECC" and got all legal authorization to film their.

Logline - 'bout time

"Consumed by work and money. He shows no involvement with his wife and family and lives his life lavishing them with money and gifts to fill his place. But as England suffers a finacial crisis he looses all he's worked for. Despsising lower classes all his life he must now live and work struggling as a member of the disenfranchised, trying to correct his wrongs."

Ok, so it's abit long but the logline can be shortend, for now this is our big picture. We believe this would be some sort of drama/romantic soppy type film, with some laughs along the way so not to be so heavy.

Inspired Film Opening:

After writing our logline it came to us that the story is similair to "The Pursuit Of Happyness" Dir. Gabriele Muccino 2006. Except the character starts poor and works his way to the top, our character is already there and looses it all. With lots of establishing shots of the city and many shots of the buildings and city landscape it's easy to tell that we have been influenced by this opening.
Here is the opening to the film which has inspired the style of our Film:
